ReadAlly

Buy, rent, or share books — track progress, read together, and discuss in one place.

What if reading wasn’t a one-way experience?

What if a web platform existed where readers could read together, authors could publish and interact, and anyone with a story could become a writer?

ReadAlly is built around that idea - a social reading and bookstore platform where reading, writing, and discussion happen in one place.

The Problem

Despite the growth of digital reading platforms, reading remains a largely isolated experience.
Studies show that over 60% of Gen Z and millennials prefer community-driven digital platforms, yet most reading tools focus only on consumption, not interaction.

Today, readers rely on a fragmented system:

  • Reading on platforms like Kindle

  • Writing books on Notepad, Word

  • Discussing them on Reddit, Discord, or WhatsApp

This disconnect breaks engagement. Readers lose motivation, discussions feel scattered, and writers struggle to build meaningful connections with their audience.

Write & Publish

What I Learned

This project helped me learn how to design feature-rich web platforms without overwhelming users, balance community interaction with content, and think beyond individual screens to build scalable product systems.

Reading, writing, together.
